Breeding

At Sólvangur we pay special attention to horse breeding and training allthough we also breed sheep and chicken. The breeding of horses started in the year 2001. We have breed  a number of good competition horses as well as high valued breeding horses. Now we get around 5-6 foals every year out of specially selected mares and we only have our mares served by high judged stallions. Our main focus in horse breeding is to breed impressive, beautiful, cleargated horses with high movements and a nice character.
